Most single-storey installs are a one-day job. A two-storey home, a larger system, or a battery going in at the same time can run into a second day, and we tell you which before you book.

Do I need to be home on the day?

Someone needs to be there at the start so we can get to the switchboard and confirm the panel layout with you, and at the end for the handover. You do not need to be there for the whole day.

Will my power be off?

Briefly, while the system is connected at the switchboard. It is usually under an hour and we tell you when it is coming.

What happens to my roof?

Mounting hardware is fixed into the roof structure and sealed. On tile, we replace any tile that is broken during the work. If we find a roof that needs repair before panels go on it, we tell you before starting, not after.

How soon do I see it on my bill?

The system produces from the day it is commissioned, but your retailer needs to reconfigure the meter for the feed-in first. That is usually a few weeks and it is out of our hands, though we lodge the paperwork for you.

How a solar panel installation actually runs

A solar system is not a product you buy off a shelf, it is a piece of equipment fitted to one specific roof. The number of panels that fit, the direction they face, the shade they take at four in the afternoon and the state of the switchboard they connect to are all different at your address than at the house next door.

So we quote it that way. We read twelve months of your usage, look at the roof properly, and give you a system size, a price and a payback figure you can check.

Our published starting prices are the real floor, not a teaser. A standard single-storey install on a straightforward roof lands at them.

What moves the price up

A two-storey home, which changes the access and the labour
Tile rather than sheet metal, which is slower to mount on
A switchboard or meter that needs upgrading to take the system
An array split across three or four roof faces instead of one
A roof that needs repair before anything is fixed to it

How we size the system

Sizing off a package name is guessing. Sizing off your bills is arithmetic.

Read twelve months of usageNot one bill. A summer quarter and a winter quarter tell you completely different things about a Western Sydney household.
Measure the useable roofUseable, not total. Eaves, vents, valleys, the hot water service and anything that shades after 2pm all come out of the number.
Model the outputPanel by panel, against the orientation and pitch of each face, so the figure reflects your roof rather than a regional average.
Match it to when you use powerA household that is empty until 6pm needs a different answer from one with someone home all day. This is where the battery question gets decided.
Quote it in writingSize, brand, price, exclusions and expected output, on one page, before you commit to anything.

A system too big is money you never get back, and a system too small is a bill you keep paying. Both are sizing failures.

We install Longi, Sungrow, GoodWe, SolaX and Sigenergy. These are brands with an Australian presence and a warranty process that works, which matters more than a spec sheet.

A warranty is only as good as the company honouring it. Plenty of solar brands that sold hard in Australia a decade ago no longer answer the phone, and their customers found out at the worst possible moment.
