What Eastwood roofs are like
Eastwood is largely solid brick homes on sloping, tree-lined streets. Slope and shade together decide the real output here, which is why a desktop quote is not enough.
That is why we do not quote a system size off a package name. We read twelve months of your usage, measure the useable roof rather than the total roof, and model the output face by face. You get the number and the assumptions behind it in writing.
What we install in Eastwood
- Solar panel installation
Rooftop solar sized on your actual bills, installed by our own crew, with the price agreed in writing first.
- Home battery storage
Store what your roof makes during the day and use it at night, on a new system or fitted to the one you already have.
- System design & sizing
The part that decides whether your system was worth it, done on your usage and your roof before anything is ordered.
- Inverter replacement
The part that fails first, replaced without touching panels that are still doing their job.
- Service & maintenance
Checks, fault finding and repairs, including on systems we did not install and brands that have left the market.
- EV charger installation
A proper wall charger wired into your switchboard, set up to take what your roof is making rather than what the grid is selling.

What decides the job in Eastwood
Slope and shade compound
Either one alone is workable. Together they can turn a roof that looks good on a map into a roof with one usable face, which a desktop quote will never tell you.
The site visit is not a formality here
This is one of the suburbs where quoting from an aerial image genuinely misleads. We measure on site because the map does not show the neighbour's tree.
Layout decides output more than panel brand
On a constrained roof, where the panels go matters more than which panels they are. We settle the layout first.

The ones that come up on nearly every first call, answered straight.

Why do you need to visit rather than quote from a satellite image?
Because in Eastwood the two things that decide output, slope and shade, are exactly the two an aerial image hides. A desktop quote here is a guess with a price attached to it.
My neighbour's tree shades my roof. What can I do about it?
Nothing about the tree, and quite a lot about the layout. We model the shade through the year, put the array where it is not, and use per panel electronics only where they will actually earn their cost.
Do you install in Eastwood?
Yes. Eastwood is inside our regular run across Parramatta and Western Sydney, and it is our own crew rather than a subcontractor. DSW Energy works under NSW electrical licence 497806C.
How much does it cost to install solar in Parramatta?
Our starting prices are $4,500 for a 6.6kW system and $8,500 for 10kW, for a standard single-storey install. What moves the number is the roof, not the postcode: two storeys, tile instead of sheet, a switchboard that needs upgrading, or an array split across several faces all add labour. We confirm the final figure in writing after a site assessment, so the price you accept is the price you pay.
Is there a solar rebate in NSW in 2026?
Not on panels, and that surprises people. There is no New South Wales rebate for rooftop solar. The discount you hear about is federal, it comes off the price as a point-of-sale deduction rather than a cheque you claim later, and every accredited installer in the state gets the same one. Batteries are different: a federal battery discount and a separate NSW incentive for connecting to a virtual power plant both apply, and they stack. We set out what you qualify for in writing with the quote, against the rules on the day.
What is the 33% rule for solar panels?
It is a rough guide that a solar system will typically cover around a third of a home's electricity use unless you change when you use power or add a battery. It is a reasonable sanity check on any sales pitch: if someone tells you panels alone will wipe out your whole bill, ask them to show you the numbers behind it. Shifting your washing, dishwasher and pool pump into daylight hours does more than most people expect, and a battery is what moves you past it properly.
Why do some people get rid of their solar panels?
Usually one of three reasons, and none of them is that solar stopped working. Systems installed a decade ago are reaching the end of their inverter life and get replaced rather than removed. Some were undersized for the household from the start and never delivered what was promised. And some were installed badly by companies that are no longer trading, which is the strongest argument for choosing an installer who will still be there in ten years. Panels themselves usually outlast everything else on the roof.
